Job description:

Our client is looking for an exceptional, full-time analyst/programmer to work at their professional and busy Durham office. This role is the starting-point for a fulfilling career path within the company. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the entire development process from design, programming, testing and implementation through to end user support and must have relevant experience in a similarly versatile and diverse work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyse User/Legislative requirements in order to outline steps required to develop programs.
2. Communicate with User/Legislative bodies, when required, in order to clarify requirements.
3. Evaluate said requirements to determine feasibility, time requirements, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities.
4. Develop test and document new or existing programs as required.
5. Install and test program at user site if required.
6. Prepare documentation to describe program development, logic, coding and amendments.
7. Provide technical support to Support Team/User as required.
8. Liaising with all stakeholders to plan implementation and design of new products and features.
9. Any other ad hoc duties that may arise.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or relevant experience, Have experience in programming ‘data’ oriented applications using VB6 and VB. Net or alike and have the drive & ability to work in a variety of languages.
Have at least 5 years work experience in a busy software development team driven by quality and on-time delivery.
