Our client are looking for a Quality Inspector Team Leader to join our client who develop and manufacture components and engines within the Motorsport and Aerospace industry.

Main operational duties and responsibilities
*Execute inspection activities on finished/part finished parts and on incoming sub-contracted parts.
*Ensure certificates of all sub-contracted out processes are correct to company standards, carry out inspection on test pieces as required.
*Maintain serial number register for parts, mark part numbers via Laser Marking etc.
*Ensure all processes have been completed on finished goods and relevant certificates/documentations are properly filed.
*Generate and develop quality/inspection documentations (Certificate of Conformity, Non-Conformity Request etc).
*Work with production and manufacturing engineering departments to solve in-process quality problems, contribute to identify "root-causes" and initiate effective corrective action
*Guide machine operators in usage of inspection equipment.
*Develop and document quality plans for new product processes
*Ensure all gauges are calibrated at all times and gauge calibration database is up-to-date.
*Involvement in New Product Development including the inspection strategy.
You will also need the ability to operate the CIM (this is an essential requirement)

Technical requirements

Education suitably apprenticeship trained.
Experience in first article, sample inspection, in-process, final inspection and calibration of inspection gauges (preferably in the motorsport and metal cutting industry)
Extensive hands-on experience of CMM-programming and -operation preferably Zeiss, Mitutoyo, as well as inspection using manual inspection equipment
Ability to read a manufacturing drawing and their understanding of dimensioning and tolerance.
Experience in low volume, high quality manufacture, or prototyping
Experience with ISO 9001 requirements, basic knowledge of product liability would be an advantage
Proficient in the use of MS Office.
Experience in the motorsport or aerospace industry would be an advantage
MPI certified would be an advantage
