The National Minimum wage has increased from 1st April 2018

The National Minimum wage increase comes in to effect on 1st April 2018. The National Minimum wage is the minimum your employer can pay you, per hour.

Here's the minimum you must be paid per hour from April 2018:

25 and over       21 to 24      18 to 20       Under 18       Apprentices*        
     £7.83               £7.38           £5.90            £4.20               £3.70

*Apprentice rates, additional information:
If you are an apprentice aged under 19 or are 19 or over in your first year of your apprenticeship then you are entitled to the apprentice rate of £3.70p/h. 
However, if you are aged 19 or over and have completed the first year of your apprenticeship then you are entitled to the minimum wage for your age.
