- Due to continued growth, expansion, our client who specialist distributors of electrical enclosures and control gear are seeking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor into the organisation. Please note this is a temp to perm opportunity.
You will be joining an independently owned and run business that continues to go from strength to strength. This is a company that has integrity and works hard to appropriately reward the team with a view to longer term career success within the organisation.
It is essential that you possess a full UK driving licence and a current accredited Forklift licence (ideally Flexi but all licences will be considered).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
*Managing a small team of warehouse operatives
*Goods in procedures i.e. checking the quantity of goods against delivery sheets
*Stock allocation and general store duties
*Picking orders
*Preparing orders ready for shipping
*Ensuring that the aisles and warehouse are kept clear and tidy
*Forklift operation (flexi)
*General Warehouse duties
Essential skills and qualities required:
*Demonstrate previous management experience
*Pick, pack and dispatch experience
*Ability to manage a small team
*Demonstrate completing all daily tasks and complete checks
*Any trade counter experience will be a distinct advantage
*Demonstrate longevity with your career to date
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday 8am to 5 or 8.30-5.30. The client has requested this be a temporary to permanent position. So, for the first circa 12 weeks you will be employed as a temporary agency worker through Equation Recruitment and upon successful completion of a temporary period you will be transferred to the company as a permanent employee.
