- Due to expansion my client is seeking to recruit an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join their small team of engineers within an SME manufacturing environment.
Located on the outskirts of Thame this is easily accessed via public transport from certain locations if you do not drive/own a car.
My client is seeking to recruit either a qualified Electrical Test Engineer or a time served test engineer/rising star, with a bias towards electrical test routines. You will be working in a small team of test engineers, responsible for the final inspection and test of a range of complex products such as: Control box/panels, modules, communication equipment and more recently PLC's.
As the link point between the customer and the manufacturing process, it is vital that you place a high-level of detail through your work. Detail is additionally paramount because these products are at times placed in safety critical systems. Products can run at high voltages so safety for yourself and others is of great important (650V AC and foil tested at 3.5kV - 5kV).
You will be required to follow written test procedures where necessary and follow schematics to ensure products have been wired correctly. You will also be responsible for completing the electrical test records for each product tested. Photographs of each product are also taken after test and these together with the electrical & mechanical test reports form the basis of the detailed traceability for each product.
For the PLC control panels, you will be expected to load repeat programs from a backup chip and required to assist an engineer in the testing of more complex one-off control panels.
Working 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8am to 3pm.
