- Description
- My Bicester based client, who manufacture specialist products for the protection and decoration of surfaces, are looking for a new Production Operative to join their team permanently.
You will be responsible for the accurate production of solutions, which require a keen eye for detail due to the specification of the products and chemicals used. (All PPE provided). You must also be physically fit, as raw materials and finished products are stored in large quantities, sometimes in excess of 25kg.
Responsibilities of the role:
*Working from a "batch sheet" i.e. ingredient list, to identify what chemicals/ solutions are required for production
*Weighing small and large quantities, accurately
*To produce the finished product by following strict instructions, ensuring that raw materials are added in order in the correct quantities
*Loading solutions into vats
*Operating a mixing machine
*Cleaning the vat once the solution has been produced
*Assisting in the warehouse as and when required
*Picking and packing
*Wrapping pallets
*The ability to drive a Counterbalance Forklift truck. (This is not essential, as training can be carried out on site).
This position offers a 37.5 hour working week, from Monday to Friday, however, overtime is available during the spring/ summer on Saturdays, paid at time and a half, which will increase your weekly pay by a further £90. Core hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:30am- 5pm, with a 45-minute lunch and a x1 15-minute break. Fridays are 8:30am- 4pm, with a 1-hour lunch and x1 15-minute break.
