- We are looking for a permanent part-time receptionist to join our clients busy office in the heart of their school working 22 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Monday to Thursday 10.30am - 4pm, Friday 10.30am - 12.30pm.

This position is based on the outskirts of Bicester, therefore it is preferable that you drive and have your own vehicle due to lack of public transport.
Role of the School Receptionist:
To assist in the daily administrative functions and promote high standards of customer care within the school.
To actively model and promote the values and ethos of the School.
Ensure that output and quality of work is of a high standard and complies with current legislation be able to use their initiative.
Duties
To act as receptionist/ administrative assistant to the school.
To carry out general administrative duties including word and excel processing to monitor students attendance and behaviour.
To seek ways of improving quality in all aspects of the role.
Duties associated with Core Tasks.
To act as first point of contact for visitors to the school and those making contact by telephone.
To receive, sign for, sort and distribute post coming into the school and to record all outgoing post.
To ensure all telephone messages are recorded, including pupils' absences and to pass messages to the appropriate person.
To attend to minor pupil illnesses and injuries/first aid (First Aid qualification desirable).
To ensure that all visitors are signed in and issued with a relevant Visitor's Pass.
To check that pupils signing out have permission to do so.
To attend to enquiries from pupils and staff.
To carry out administrative duties as allocated by line manager
To access pupil records and respond to queries.
General responsibilities:
Act as a model for the school's values
To undertake other duties appropriate to the grade of the post as the Principal or delegated line manager may from time to time reasonably determine.
To cover for other office staff in their absence when required.
