- Description
- I am looking for an experienced Night Foreman to join a local company, who provide extraction cleaning services nationwide and titled the largest cleaner of kitchen grease extract risers in the UK.
As an area Foreman, it is your responsibility to ensure the effective performance of your allocated area and maintain productivity by all crews. You are also responsible for ensuring all necessary training methods are used and to communicate Health & Safety regulations.
The Foreman is an integral part of the business, delivering the necessary service of compliance offered to our customers.
The Night Foreman is expected to work night shifts from Sunday - Thursday. The Foreman is not expected to cover or oversee any works carried out during the day. Start times vary, however, most of the time, shifts start from 9pm. The Foreman will be contracted to 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities of the Night Foreman
*Monitoring Engineers attendance and performance
*Monitoring quality & compliance
*Engineer Training
*Health & Safety Checks
*Workflow and communications with Management, the Office and Customer
*Support
*Monitoring the upcoming work scheduled (weekly and monthly) in your area to highlight potential issues
*To conduct monthly meetings and regular communication with scheduling to assist with the above process
*Ensuring 5 nights of work are fully completed by each crew, including time spent on site, reports returned, and jobs completed
*Regular QC checks of all Engineer sites and report of findings
*Ensure Engineers training is completed and updated where necessary. Spreadsheet to be provided to maintain information
*To carry out regular Health & Safety checks on the company vehicles and equipment
*Cancelling jobs where necessary, informing the customers and the office if any issues occur
*Covering sickness where possible, to avoid a loss of jobs (No holidays to be covered)
*Covering any remedial works at night e.g. fan cleans and grease leaks
*Action weekly crew lists, advising crews of changes due to holidays/sickness; inform scheduling of any concerns
*Send a weekly log to the Service Manager every Thursday, highlighting your plans for the following week
*Send a daily email to the office regarding any issues in terms of works carried out by crews at night
*Take calls after 5pm regarding works
*Email QC Reports/ Survey Reports & Health and safety checks
*Maintain disciplinary process
*Monthly meetings with the management team and scheduling at Head Office, to discuss overall area performance of crews and the month ahead
Working days/ hours: Sunday to Thursdays. Start times vary, but usually 9pm.
Salary: £28,000- £30,000 depending on experience
