- Innovative, market leader of advanced technology, seek a Deputy Logistics Manager to join them during an exciting period of continued success and rapid growth.
This is a newly created role, designed specifically to drive the business forward and to meet the expected future demand. If you are looking for a challenge and more responsibility, this could well be the role for you.
Responsibilities of the role:
*To ensure the smooth planning and movement of products between each department
*Keeping track of each customers schedule and delivery targets
*Updating the team in the US by sending all supporting paperwork and planning instructions across
*Liaising with suppliers and customers, giving progress updates when requested or required
*Procurement of consumables and raw materials
*Responsible for the receipt of orders entering and exiting the warehouse
*Booking in of products
*Production cycle planning
*Liaising with subcontractors to arrange and control sub-contractor operations
*Providing scheduling information to the management team and to customers
*Processing orders and producing internal works order documentation using SAGE 200 production control software
*Entering updates onto the system in terms of material movement
*Maintaining minimum and maximum stock levels of consumables and other products when required
*Support and work to continuous improvement systems
*Provide regular performance reports to the management team
*Completion of despatch paperwork
*Export shipping arrangement, ensuring compliance with export documentation and controls
*Attending and contributing to meetings
*Maintaining safe working practices and compliance with all relevant legislations and company procedures
Experience / skills required:
*IT literate- Word and Excel (intermediate)
*The ability to work to deadlines and to strict timescales
*Experience within production/ manufacturing processes
*Continuous improvement experience
*The ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
*The experience and ability to work well under pressure
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working hours:
8:00- 16:30 Monday to Friday
Salary:
£27,000- £30,000 dependant on experience
