- Due to continued expansion and growth within their business, our Buckingham based client are seeking to recruit an FPGA Engineer to join their team.
You will be working for a business making leading edge GPS based products for the automotive and motorsport industry which includes GPS simulators that help with testing in car sensors and navigation.
We are looking for an FPGA Engineer with a range of experience to join the research and development team developing their next generation of GPS simulation products. You will be an integral part of the team involved in the research and design behind some of the companies most sophisticated products.
You will be driven, adaptable, innovative, self-starter capable of quickly assimilating information from a range of sources. Someone who knows what they know, and what they don't, with the ability to draw upon and collaborate with others from within the team.
You will be working with Xilinx Zynq 7000 series devices in high speed streaming of data via USB 3.0 to PC.
Required Experience
You will have been involved with all phases of the FPGA development lifecycle, from initial architecture design, requirements specification, and design documentation through to code development, formal verification and final integration. Able to communicate effectively with other team members, (including hardware, software, PCB and mechanical designers) to agree interface specifications and progress integration solutions.
Flexibility is essential as specifications may not be fully defined at the start of development.
Required skills
*VHDL skills, particularly targeting Xilinx Zynq 7000
*VHDL-based design, implementation and verification experience using self-checking functional verification
*Experience with Xilinx Vivado up to 18.3
*Digital design including interfacing to hardware, peripherals and processors.
*Ability to write Linux user space applications to verify data streaming to and from embedded PC.
