Description
Innovative, market leader of advanced technology, seek an experienced Team Leader/ Supervisor to oversee a team of Production/ Processing Operatives, responsible for prolonging the life span of critical parts that operate in extreme environments.

You will be supporting the Group Department Manager, responsible for the efficient running of the processing area within the UK. You will be overseeing the operation of the machinery used to carry out this preventative maintenance process and lead preventative maintenance and continuous improvement actions. This is an exciting time for the business, who are currently experiencing rapid growth due to continued success, which makes this an excellent time to join the company.

Typical duties include;
*Ensure safe working practices and compliance with all relevant legislation and company procedures.
*Supervise the operation of the production plant and equipment.
*Manage the loading, running and validation of production/ process cycles (assessing standard coupons) to specification.
*Ensure the department work to and maintain the company's manufacturing processes and procedures.
*Ensure that staff are properly trained and assessed, as well as keeping records and maintaining training plans.
*Maintain and support continuous improvement.
*Responsible for scheduled maintenance of calibrated equipment
*Stock control of spares.

Required skills and experience:
*Degree or equivalent in chemical, mechanical or manufacturing (Desirable)
*Experience of working in a processing environment (Essential)
*Experience as a Team Leader/ Supervisor/ in man management (Essential)
*Experience of a production processes working to ISO9001 systems (Preferable)
*Practical, hands-on experience of plant maintenance (Essential)
*Experience of working with CVD vacuum systems (Desirable)
*Experience of the Health & Safety of chemical risk and controls (Essential)
*Fundamental Microsoft Office Skills

Salary:

£30,000- £35,000 per annum

Working days/ hours: Monday to Friday 8:00- 16:30
