- Equation Recruitment are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Advisor to join their client based on the outskirts of Thame. This is a permanent, full time position.
You will be the first response to telephone and email enquires, receiving and processing orders from both domestic and international customers along with following up quotations and ensuring KPIs are met. The role is mainly office based so you will be expected to be in the sales office for the majority of the day, although at times liaison with other departments will be required along with occasional off-site customer visits.
Key tasks will include :-
*Responding to incoming telephone calls and emails
*Processing orders and enquiries using the CRM and Sage systems
*Updating customer records and conversation notes
*Preparing quotations for both standard and special products using our internal quotation system and product knowledge
*Following up quotations and leads from customers, passing information onto area sales representatives
*Having a working knowledge of all administrative functions of the sales office to cover for absent colleagues as and when required
*Booking transport companies
*Raising purchase orders on third party suppliers as required
*Visiting customers and attending exhibitions and other events as required
*Any other reasonable tasks that may be requested
The successful candidate will have experience of dealing with customers in a sales environment along with proven customer service skills. An interest in mechanical engineering is preferable but not essential.
