- Description
- I am looking for a CNC Programmer/ Setter to join a leading international provider of work holding solutions for all types of machining in both standard and special applications. Accredited to Quality Standard ISO 9001:2015, my client requires an individual with experience in programming, setting, milling and turning.
Key responsibilities.
*CNC programming and setting.
*Operating CNC controls. (EDGECAM)
*Producing component parts to company standards.
*Working with engineering drawings. Tool lists and set-up sheets.
*Using measuring equipment and gauges, to ensure components meet inspection standards, by performing dimensional and visual checks
*Loading and unloading components manually or by jib crane to work piece chucks or fixtures. Set correctly and secure.
*Assembly work.
*Participate in Continues Improvement activities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
*Liaising with the Production /Engineering Manager/ Quality Inspector, regarding problem solving and increasing efficiency.
Skills/ experience required.
*The ability to read and work from technical/ engineering drawings.
*Some programming knowledge.
*Experience with EDGECAM.
*A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator.
*Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
*Previous experience with CNC Machines
Working days/ hours: 07.00-15.30 Mon-Thurs, 07.00-14.30 Friday (Overtime when required)
Salary: £27,000- £37,000 per annum depending on experience
