Description
Global specialists in project management are expanding their team of dedicated professionals.

This innovative market leader work across multiple sectors, such as technology, commercial, education and leisure. They are looking to recruit a Principal Mechanical Engineer, to carry out a client facing role in the development, design and coordination of engineering project services


Responsibilities

*Responsible for overseeing medium size projects, ensuring a timely and accurate delivery
*To develop, design and coordinate engineering project services
*Design and specify mechanical building systems, such as equipment, facilities, components and products
*Develops Mechanical engineering concepts and solutions
*Compiling reports and reviews on Mechanical engineering options and final proposals
*Attend project design team meetings (sometimes overseas visits required)
*Liaising with Architects, Project Managers and Structural Engineers to coordinate projects
*Thorough communication with clients to ensure the accurate transition from brief to design
*Visiting the design office with design briefs
*Partake in conference calls with the design office engineers to discuss/review the technical requirements and deliverables
*Develop brief and disseminate to Engineering/CAD resource for each phase of project
*Provide expert technical advice and resolutions to problems to the design office
*Visit the design office with briefing and mobilise the team
*Reviewing deliverables from the design office, in accordance with briefing requirements
*Technical auditing of deliverables from design office
*Present design proposals/solutions to the client and to the design team
*Prepare specifications and co-ordinate with all other documentation
*Signing-off engineering documents/schedules/drawings/calculations received from design office
*Use computer assisted project software for both project related calculations and pro
*Ensure document control methods are being adhered to and quality control standards are being achieved
*Contribute to development of quality and technical standards within the office
*Carry out all of the above, following the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics Practice

Salary: £50,000- £57,000 per annum
