Description
Global specialists in project management are expanding their team of dedicated professionals.

This innovative market leader work across multiple sectors, such as technology, commercial, education and leisure. They are looking to recruit an ICT Design Engineer, responsible for the production of ICT infrastructure design specification packages i.e. drawings, technical specifications and the preparation of procurement packs.

Responsibilities:

*Coordination of ICT design at technical meetings, with technical counterparts in other engineering disciplines
*To ensure that specifications, drawings and calculations meet industry, legal and quality standards
*Facilitate peer and QA review of CAD drawings. (Typically cabling systems, containment, cabinet elevation, comms room layout)
*Conduct data acquisition and needs analysis
*Produce written documents including technical and performance specifications, schematic diagrams (typically data network), CAD drawings (typically cabling systems, containment, cabinet elevation, comms room layout)

Skills essential to the role:

*A Degree in ICT infrastructure design engineering discipline, or equivalent in engineering/technology
*A-Level secondary education, HNC/HND
*Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCCD) Certification (knowledge in the design, (desirable, not essential)
*Experience in the implementation, integration and project management of telecommunications and data- communication technology and related infrastructure
*Good working knowledge of MS Office applications Word, Excel, Microsoft Project etc.
*The ability to use IT based calculations and spreadsheet software
*A good understanding of BS standards/UK regulations/codes and relevant IT systems certification standards
*Presentation skills, in terms of technical information
*Previous project experience in ICT infrastructure design, within the built environment i.e. Data centres, commercial buildings, hotels, university campus, office ICT fit-out and relocation projects
*Demonstrable CPD record in engineering/technology subjects
*Experience in CAD document handling and drawing production, e.g. cabling infrastructure overlay onto ACAD,
*Bluebeam documents, e.g. handling Revit files

Salary: £38,000 + Per annum, depending on experience.
