- Equation Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of the biggest fashion houses in the world to assist them in their search for a Finance Manager. Based in Central London and initially on a on a 1 year maternity cover contract and offering a salary ok £60,000 plus benefits this is a fantastic opportunity play an integral part in the operational and financial success of a household name.
Reporting directly into the Head of Finance and Operations, you will have a team of 5 direct reports to oversee on a daily basis as well as ensuring your own responsibilities are managed and met in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, which will subsequently enable you to guarantee all financial controls are adhered to and financial deliverables are met.
While not essential it would also be beneficial to speak Italian.
As part of your ongoing responsibilities within the role should you be successful you and your direct reports will be held accountable for;
-Accounting control- including maintenance of financial ledgers, management of the balance sheet and working capital.
-Business processes- including documenting and developing processes and policies to both maintain and improve internal controls.
-Reporting- including being directly responsible for leading the year end close report.
-Team management- coaching and managing a team of 5 direct reports.
In order to be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following behaviours:

-Accepting and delivering to very tough deadlines. This can lead to exceptional levels of overtime for periods during the year, which must be accommodated.
-Commercial acumen
-The ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team
As well as possess the following experience:
-Graduate, Part Qualified Accountant
-5 years + practical experience in a Commercial / Retail organisation
-Highly PC literate
-Experience managing a small team
-
Success within the role will be measured against the following objectives.

-Accuracy of information - "right the first time"
-Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the group
-Implements a wide range of process improvement initiatives
-Demonstrate the effective management and motivation of the team
