- Description
- Based in Buckingham, my specialist client who have been established in their field for over 40 years, require a Sales Estimator to join their team on a permanent basis.
This company are a leading supplier and installer, across UK and Ireland, of a product manufactured for the construction industry. As such, we are ideally looking for someone with good mechanical and technical knowledge, preferably in Mechanical/Building services.
You will be involved in projects throughout the whole of UK and will be responsible for all tasks right from initial enquiry through to tender submission, such as:
*Ensuring all tenders are priced accurately and within deadline
*Determine customer requirements and specification, and drawings
*Design pipe routes using manufacturers recommendations & guidelines
*Assisting in the completion of tender prequalification questionnaires (PQQ's)
*Manage customer enquiries
*Carry out site survey's, if required
*Producing estimates, and issuing quotation letters
*Manage suppliers with regards to prices and availability
*Update customer/supplier/price records within bespoke customer software package
*Answering internal and external technical queries
*Assist with growing sales, existing and new
*Negotiate quotation prices with customers and costs with suppliers & subcontractors
Requirements:
*Good Mechanical and Technical knowledge, preferably within mechanical services/pipework/utilities/groundworks/building services
*Excellent accuracy and administrative skills
*Ability to build and maintain client relationships
*Negotiation skills to secure prices and projects
*Confident in both face to face and telephone customer handling
*Excellent organisation and planning skills
In addition to the competitive basic salary, the company matches pension contributions up to 5% of your salary after 6 months service and offers 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
The ideal candidate will reside within 45 minutes of Buckingham.
