- Description
- IT Support Engineer required for a small team working at a local Independent IT support company located in Bicester.
This position is supporting local business clients with their full IT soft and hardware issues. It is essential that you do have a form of IT based qualifications and some relevant experience to be considered at this stage.
Main Purpose of role
*Install patches where required and update firmware/software
*Fulfil Customer Service Requests/Software Installs/AD creations/Management
*Ensure Technical Documentation is created and kept up to date
*Accurately log incidents/ service requests, ensuring all relevant data is captured to enable quick and efficient resolution within SLA.
*Adhering to Incident, Change, and Problem management procedures.
*Ensure all open tickets assigned to yourself are worked on within the time frame provided and updated to reflect the correct status.
*Deliver and maintain vendor management on behalf of the customer.
*Business process awareness
*Drive the customer experience by executing the defined service desk process.
*Highlight trends to the Service Desk Team Leader for review
*1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support to our clients
*Deliver a high quality service using systems engineering best practice
*Problem analysis & resolution across a wide range of systems, services, applications and technologies.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a confident, friendly and helpful manner.
*Natural problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to tasks.
*A genuine interest in being involved in the IT operations environment.
*The eagerness and capacity to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
The hours of this role are working full time, 8.30 am to 5.30, Monday to Friday at the office based in Bicester.
