Description
Due to continued expansion within their engineering and construction business, our Buckingham based client are looking to employ a Trainee CAD Technician/ Administrator on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to begin, or to build upon a career in CAD Design within the construction industry.
This is an office-based position and will involve working within the Drawing Office. You will be working directly under the supervision of the company's experienced CAD Technician. Full in-house training will be provided.
CAD duties:
*Create sketches and working drawings using AutoCAD
*Update and edit working drawings using AutoCAD
*Complete As-Installed drawings using AutoCAD
*Create and complete weld schedules using AutoCAD
*Create activity schedules using AutoCAD
*Log and file drawing documentation
*Issue drawings to customers and clients for their information or approval
*Print drawings for Contracts and Estimating Departments
*Maintain standard drawings/ details library
*Archive drawings
*Maintain Drawing Office stock levels
*Create O&M manuals
Stock/ Stores duties:
*Raising and posting stores requisitions - in/out
*Produce monthly stock values and issue to Accounts Department
*Annual stock revaluation
*Maintain stores stock levels
*Maintain stock room, keeping it clean and tidy and clear for access
Contracts Department duties:
*Compiling information including RAM;s and COSSH data for start-up packs
*Overseeing plant hire
*Monitor the installer training schedule for compliance purposes
*Procurement of installer tolling & PPE
*Producing new contract files
*Moving contract documents from buff files into lever arch files
*Set up contract folders on the server
*Compile basic elements of risk assessments and method statements, prior to Engineers input
*Load electronic files with safe systems of work, COSHH data and assessments sheets for Engineers to check
*Compile installer installation summaries for Engineers to check
*Ensure test certificates and as- fitted drawings are received from sub-contractors
*Raising pipe supplier / merchants' orders for Engineers

What you will need to be considered for the role:
*AutoCAD experience/training is an advantage, but not completely essential
*Strong administration skills
*IT literacy. (Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite)
*Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate to clients and customers
*Exceptional eye for detail
*Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload

Working hours/ Days: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £20,000- £23,000 Depending on experience.
Company benefits: Personal pension after 6 months service, up to 5%.
25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays.
