Management Accountant
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Bicester
Equation Recruitment are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Management Accountant who demonstrates all the skills, experience and attributes required to be an effective Managment Accountant. Key Responsibilities:
* Provision of support to the Finance Manager and Group Finance Manager in the delivery of an excellent finance function to the senior management team and stakeholders alike.
* Accountable for comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, and the calculation of prepayments and accruals
* Assistance in the preparation of monthly management accounts for all associated businesses, including KPIs, variance analysis and forecasts
* Responsible for carrying out inter-company reconciliations
* Ensuring the correct accounting treatment of policies
* Assist in preparing annual budgets, ensure these are accurate and completed to tight deadlines; plus supporting group budget holders in controlling spend
* Provision of ad hoc management information to Directors and Managers
* Ownership of VAT return submission to HMRC
* Support compliance with all legal & regulatory requirements including year-end files & liaison with auditors
* Acquiring knowledge of finance department processes in order to provide holiday and sickness cover for these functions.
* Assist in the design, implementation & management of all internal financial procedures and processes to future-proof business growth
* Systems admin, support and problem-solving involving the company's operational systems and harnessing technology to ensure the business efficiency
* General input into company IT, process management, electronic banking
* Adhoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager
Key Attributes:
* ACCA qualified, CIMA finalist or qualified by experience in a financial role.
* Experience using SAP is desirable.
* Advanced IT skills - specifically Excel and administrative systems.
* Knowledge of income reconciliations, costs, and balance sheets.
* Great communication skills.
* Effective timekeeper.
