R&D Technician

Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum

Working hours: 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 12:30 on a Friday

R&D Technician Responsibilities:

* Assist the Research & Development team with administrative duties.
* Project File Management
* Produce and update R&D project and production support material.
* Inspect incoming components and finished products.
* Maintain and drive company vehicles to other sites, suppliers, customers or maintenance garages.
* Collect and deliver equipment/ vehicles.
* Ensure that all equipment used is calibrated, tested and within date.
* Organising recalibration of equipment
* Ensure safe working practices and Company health & safety policy is observed at all times.

R&D Technician required skills & experience:

* At least 3 years' experience in a production or R & D administrative role.
* Desktop publishing and technical writing
* Practical working knowledge of mechanical engineering including production procedures
* Knowledge of manufacturing methods
* Knowledge of stock control and logistics
* Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office package)
* Some CAD experience/ awareness of the software
* Working knowledge / experience within ISO 9001 system.
* A levels/ NVQ level 3/ equivalent engineering qualifications
