Finisher

Working hours: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday
Salary: £23,000 per annum
Location: Bicester (Caversfield/ Launton)

Do you have any finishing, polishing experience?

Have you worked with components or parts in the past?

Do you have production/ manufacturing experience within a workshop or engineering environment?

Have you been responsible for operating/ minding machinery in the past?

Do you have experience using manual lathes and/ or hand tools?

Specialist engineering company based in Bicester, seek an individual who is technically minded, with good attention to detail to work in the finishing department.

Full training given, but you will ideally have experience with machinery and hand tools within a workshop or production environment. If you have good production/ machinery experience and are looking to find your way into engineering company, then this is definitely the job for you.

You will be responsible for the finishing of components after they have undergone various other procedures. This is a crucial part of the process and requires excellent attention to detail. Each component will be sent back to the customer after being quality checked and must be perfect.

Responsibilities of the Finisher;

* Using hand tools and machinery , including manual lathes to "finish" components
* Use of technical drawings to ensure that the components match the requirements
* Polishing/ buffing components
* Working as part of a team of three, ensuring that components are completed to a high standard
* Liaising with other departments/ teams if any issues arise
* Keeping record of components once the finishing process is complete
* Releasing components to the quality control department
