Senior Accountant
Senior Accountant Salary: Up to £40,000 + dependant on experience
Working Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Location: Bicester
Equation Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and caring accountancy practice consisting of a team who are passionate about helping and advising entrepreneurs and small business owners. With a growing practice, this means they have a vacancy for a Senior/Semi-Senior Accountant looking to progress their career.
This position is suitable for someone either fully qualified with experience of working in practice, or someone who is recently qualified (AAT/ACA or ACCA), or currently studying and looking for a practice to support them as they finalise their qualification.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Assisting colleagues with the preparation of statutory accounts for clients ranging from sole traders and partnerships to limited companies.
- Holding client meetings to discuss their business needs and how you would be able to support them.
- Assisting clients with various taxation queries.
- Be required to add value to basic services, such as management accounts, taxation, business advice, payroll, bookkeeping and company formations.
Required Skillset for a Senior Accountant:
- Excellent people and project management skills, with a passion for helping your clients grow.
- Unafraid to get stuck in to solve problems when they arise.
- Able to maximise efficiency through technology and has a broad range of skills from accounting to taxation.
- Working knowledge of multiple accounting software's, which ideally will include TaxCalc, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks, amongst others.
- High people management, organisational and communication skills.
- Hands-on problem-solver with a passion to help others.
- Experience successfully managing a client portfolio.
- Experience in producing statutory accounts, as well as having some tax knowledge
