Description

Workshop Mechanics wanted for a partner of some of the world's leading engine manufacturers.

If you have any hands on experience with petrol and diesel engines of any kind, please apply.

(Please note that this vacancy is not related to the motorsport industry.)

Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire

Working days/ hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am-12pm.

Salary: £23,000- £28,000 dependant on experience

Workshop Mechanic Responsibilities:

There are two roles available. Both require different levels of skill.

(More skilled) Rebuild line- Stripping down engines, fault finding, testing, replacing parts.


(Less skilled) New build line- Following technical information to modify new engines to specification.

  • Produce engines following special instructions and build standards
  • Using dynamometers to test engines when necessary
  • Inspecting/ fault finding and raising necessary reports
  • Using a variety of hand tools to complete builds within the workshop
  • Undertake inductions and training courses when required
  • To make sure that any changes made to build standards, drawings, packing lists and special instructions are communicated to other members of staff
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are stored correctly, calibrated and up to date
