Maintenance Operative

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Working hours: 45 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Bicester

Equation Recruitment are on the search for a Maintenance Operative to join our client based in the heart of Bicester. The main purpose of this person is to provide a warm, safe and secure environment in which teams can operate effectively.

Responsibilities and duties as a Maintenance Operative:

•  Ensuring premises, processes and equipment are in line with Health and Safety requirements.
•  Responsible for maintaining, fixing and reporting damages, accidents, fire equipment and more.
•  Reporting any major faults to Facilities Manager.
•  Wiring electrical plugs, fuses and appliances.
•  Plumbing duties such as unblocking sinks, toilets and taps.
•  General maintenance of curtains, shelving units, display and notice boards, doors, windows and minor painting works if necessary.
•  Ensuring outside areas are kept clear and tidy including jet washing, gardening and general maintenance.
•  Recording meter readings for gas, electricity and water on a monthly basis.
•  Requesting and ordering supplies and materials for all of the above points where necessary.
•  Arranging emergency repairs with Facilities Manager and contractors.
•  Overseeing contractors and ensuring work is completed to required standards.

Required experience:

•  1 years experience in a similar role.
