Salary: £21,000 - £24,000 per annum*
Working Hours: 40 hours per week*
Contract: Permanent
Location: Thame

Equation Recruitment are looking for a Live-in Site Manager at our clients age-related retirement living complex, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of our residents. Your primary duty is to provide support and assistance as needed, maintain records, manage communication with residents, and coordinate essential services. This role requires a caring and proactive individual capable of addressing emergencies and maintaining a secure living environment on this site.
Site Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide temporary assistance to residents in case of accidents, illness, or distress until appropriate help from emergency services, relatives, or neighbours is obtained.
- Maintain a confidential register of residents' doctors and nearest relatives, along with emergency contact numbers for health, social services, and emergency services.
- Liaise with the call centre to ensure relevant resident information is up to date.
- Regularly check on the well-being of each resident during your duty hours.
- Offer options for the frequency of contact, such as daily, weekly, or as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls during duty hours and contact relevant services or sources for assistance.
- Assist residents in contacting local authorities and statutory services, providing advice and support as needed.
- Keep a detailed record of events and incidents at the scheme, including contractor visits, accidents, and social events.
- Monitor the general security of the complex and take necessary steps to ensure residents' safety.
- Supervise and assess the performance of contractors (e.g., gardeners, cleaners, window cleaners), reporting to the managing agents as required.
- Inspect and report repairs required, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring satisfactory completion of work.
- Gather feedback from residents on contractor performance and report findings.
- Monitor the health and safety of residents and visitors, reporting new risks promptly.
- Maintain records of risk assessments for health and safety, asbestos, and fire.
- Record and monitor hazardous substances used on the scheme.
- Keep the emergency plan for the scheme and make it available to local emergency services.
- Create newsletters, notices, and information sheets to keep residents informed.
- Liaise with any recognized residents' association at the scheme.
- Collaborate with residents to agree on and update support plans.
- Promote active communication and collaboration with social services, occupational therapists, primary care trusts, and GPs, participating in case conferences and assessments as needed.
Required Skillset for a Site Manager:
- Prior management in a similar environment.
- Caring and empathetic attitude.
- Applicants should be capable of and enjoy, solving residents' problems and creating a pleasant and safe environment.
