Maintenance Technician

Post Title: Maintenance Technician

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + 20% increase for shift allowance

Working Location: Bicester

Contract: Permanent

Equation Recruitment are looking for a Maintenance Technician on behalf of our well established, Bicester based client. The successful candidate will assure the availability of all production equipment and utilities in the Bicester plant, by performing preventive maintenance based on the planned and scheduled activities as well as to perform necessary repairs of said equipment, all in compliance with schedule, performance and cost targets.

Please note that for this position, it is required that the successful candidate must rotate on a three-week rota between day, late and night shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Shop floor service within production to prevent loss in utilisation and yield production, by performing regular planned preventive maintenance service on production equipment to prevent breakdowns within production.
  • Perform first aid and repair service with production equipment to prevent breakdowns or if not possible, to keep it as short as possible.
  • To help maintenance services from third parties (suppliers of equipment) with their maintenance work.
  • All employees are responsible for Health and Safety as a standard part of their role and in accordance with local H&S legislation and local company Safety Policies.
  • To keep up to date with developments in their professional field.
  • To take part in management development programs as required.
  • To take part in Employee Performance & Development Process with Line Manager.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2 - 5 years' experience of technical working in an automated production environment
  • Time served apprentice is desirable
