to;36k DOE

Are you an experienced onboarding, supplier management or operations professional with a passion for delivering great experiences and improving processes?

We are looking for a Supplier Onboarding Manager to lead a dedicated team responsible for ensuring suppliers are onboarded smoothly, efficiently and successfully. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining people leadership, operational management, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.

You will take ownership of the end-to-end supplier onboarding journey, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure everything is in place for successful activation.

The Role

As Supplier Onboarding Manager, you will lead and manage the supplier onboarding function, ensuring suppliers receive a consistent, efficient and positive experience from initial engagement through to successful activation.

You will work collaboratively across the business, partnering with teams including Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, IT and other key stakeholders to ensure onboarding activity is delivered within agreed timescales and service expectations.

You will also play an important role in identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency and enhance the supplier experience, including supporting automation and new ways of working.

Key Responsibilities of the Supplier Onboarding Manager

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end supplier onboarding process, from initial engagement through to successful activation.
  • Lead, support and develop a small team, effectively managing workloads, priorities and day-to-day activity.
  • Develop and maintain clear, effective and consistent supplier onboarding processes.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, IT and other internal stakeholders to ensure suppliers are onboarded efficiently.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and act as a key point of contact throughout the onboarding journey.
  • Engage directly with suppliers to gather required information, documentation and data in line with company requirements.
  • Provide clear guidance and support to suppliers, ensuring expectations and requirements are well understood.
  • Monitor onboarding activity and proactively identify potential delays, risks and issues.
  • Manage escalations effectively, working with internal and senior stakeholders where required to achieve timely resolutions.
  • Ensure agreed onboarding timelines and service expectations are consistently achieved.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline and automate onboarding processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the onboarding journey, with a focus on efficiency, quality and supplier experience.
  • Support the introduction and adoption of new processes, systems and ways of working.

About You, the Supplier Onboarding Manager

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident managing both people and processes. You'll be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and suppliers, managing competing priorities and finding practical solutions when challenges arise.

You will ideally have experience in a supplier onboarding, operations, procurement, shared services, customer onboarding or similar environment, together with experience of managing or leading a team.

You'll bring:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Previous experience of managing, supervising or leading a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A strong process-improvement mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer/supplier experience.
  • Confidence managing escalations and resolving issues professionally and effectively.
  • The ability to influence and engage suppliers and stakeholders to adopt new processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Why Join?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and collaborative team where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on how suppliers are onboarded and supported.

You'll have the opportunity to lead a team, improve processes, work across multiple areas of the business and help shape a more efficient and positive supplier experience.

If you're an experienced onboarding or operations professional looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
