- Our client based in Aylesbury has a new vacancy for a Semi Senior Accountant to join their award winning practice.
If you are a part qualified Accountant who is either part or fully ACCA/ACA qualified then we would like to hear from you!
To be considered for this position you must be:
* Part of fully ACCA/ACA qualified
* Ambitious and eager to progress yourself into a more senior role over time through client interaction, fee growth and personal development
* Have experience in either a business-oriented accounts practice or industry
* Comfortable in selling both yourself and the business to new clients and building on an existing client base
* Able to work both under pressure and to strict deadlines
* Experience of running monthly parolls using SAGE, Iris or similar software
* Good understanding of VAT and monthly/quarterly accounting procedures for owner-managed businesses
* Competent on Microsoft Word, Excel and ideally SAGE, and able to learn new accounting programs within short timescales
* Hold a full UK driving license
You will be involved in preparing Financial Accounts, Tax Returns, Bookkeeping and Payroll. Alongside this, you will also have direct client contacts and will need to personally develop these relationships.
Your main duties will be:
* Being the point of contact for clients, by managing their needs and taking on assignemtns on behalf of the client manager
* Completing year-end accounts and final review stage for a variety of companies
* Complete personal and partnership tax returns
* Complete business tax returns and deferred tax computations
* Run monthly payrolls
* Run monthly, quarterly and annual payrolls for various clients
* Prepare annual P11Ds for clients
* Complete client bookkeeping and VAT returns
* Able to train clients on business software
* Committed to updating technical knowledge through formal and informal training
* Undertake other reasonable business tasks as delegated or requested within the practice and actively participate in the activities and needs of the company
