- Description
- As a Calibration Laboratory Technician, you will be part of a team responsible for the calibration of high quality electronical products.
The products play a vital part in health and safety all over the world and are either fixed or portable. You will be expected to work to deadlines in accordance with the daily target.
*Day to day responsibility and accountability for the effective performance of the calibration laboratory.
*Maintain calibration laboratory area to the 6S standard.
*Ensure tooling and equipment is working and calibrated.
*Manage calibration capacity sheet on daily basis.
*Attend weekly team meeting to highlight gas shortages, H&S and Quality issues.
*Maintain a standard of quality and continuous improvement throughout the department.
*Technicians need to be capable to calibrate multiple products, spare sensors and engineered cabinets.
*Technicians to be aware of gas stock, to maintain the stock, to order replacement and manage the recording and booking in.
*Technician to be able to replace big sizes gas cylinders, performing a high gas awareness approach.
*Adhere and promote all company policies, procedures and business ethic code.
Essential criteria
*A high level of manual dexterity
*Able to correctly follow detailed work instructions
*Basic working assembly knowledge.
*Good understanding of manufacturing process.
*Awareness of quality standards.
*Basic knowledge of gas detection principles and procedures.
*Understanding of principles of Health & Safety
*Good level of written and spoken English
*Basic numerical ability
*Basic electrical knowledge
A qualification in electronics is desirable, but not necessarily essential. An NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or Manufacturing would also be desirable
The working days are Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm and you will receive a 30 minute lunch with two 15 minute breaks.
