Description
Based in Buckingham, my specialist client who have been established in their field for over 35 years, require a Project Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

This company are the leading supplier of a product manufactured for the construction industry across UK and Ireland. Due to their line of business, you will ideally have experience in mechanical, pipework, or buried utilities. Relevant engineering qualifications would be advantageous. You will be provided with a company vehicle, mobile phone and a lap top to carry out your duties as Project Engineer, controlling various projects at any one time, seeing them from order stage, all the way through to final account.

Job requirements:

*Agreeing order conditions
*Checking the estimate prior to accepting order
*Compiling programme of work if required
*Ensuring accurate working drawings are compiled and dispatched to client
*Compiling contract specific risk assessments and method statements
*Ordering all materials for the project
*Negotiating and placing sub contract orders with installers
*Supplying sub contactors with all relevant documentation
*Arranging transportation and delivery of materials to site
*Supervising sub-contractors during the contract
*Visiting sites during installations
*Monitoring contract costs
*Dealing with contract variations
*Ensuring all certification are received from sub-contractors and supplied to the client
*Responsible for making sure that installed drawings are accurately compiled and dispatched to client, on time
*Compiling applications for payment and ensuring they are dispatched on time in line with the contract requirements
*Agreeing final accounts with clients and sub-contractors
*Ensuring retentions are applied for at the correct time
*Chasing overdue payment
*Liaising with the client and sub-contractors to ensure the smooth running of the contract whilst maximising profits


Core business hours/ days are Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, Friday 9am- 4pm, however, due to the nature of the role, you will be required to be flexible.

The company will match your pension contributions, up to 5% of your salary. Salary is based on experience, £45,000- £50,000 per annum.

25 days paid leave, plus bank holidays.
