- A company based in the heart of Bicester and established in the early 80's are seeking a Trainee Production Manager to join their organisation on a permanent basis.
They are a UK based specialist of lightweight material, finishing and bonding solutions, who's customer base exists in industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical and a variety of Industrial Markets.
The successful applicant will be enrolled into a training and development programme which will consist of business improvement training carried out by and external party. Ideally, you will have a University Degree already, preferably in business, as you will be expected to carry out business analysis planning long term and contributing towards increasing profitability. You will also need industry experience, which can be in any industrial production environment. i.e. engineering, manufacturing or technical. This is essential, as you will already have an understanding of the hands-on aspect of the role, production planning and logistics functions. Any knowledge of LEAN principles would also be advantageous.
Main duties/ responsibilities:
*Overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring reliability and efficiency
*Planning and organising production schedules
*Supervision of the production team
*Shift planning
*Estimating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients
*Maintain quality standards
*ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
*Follow LEAN principles
