- Description
- Due to expansion within their business, our industry leading plant hire and sales company are now seeking to recruit a Trainee Mobile Plant Fitter/Pre-Delivery Inspection Technician to join their expanding team, working from their Enfield Depot.
You will be responsible for the ready for rent standards and periodic preventive maintenance of a wide range of plant rental machines from 1.5T Mini Diggers to 36T Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers and Telescopic Handlers.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
To PDI machines and carry out minor repairs as necessary to ensure machines are kept ready for hire.
You need to be self-motivated and be able to turn around machines quickly with accuracy, and you will also be responsible for ensuring the machinery is fit for hire.
We are looking for someone who is:
*Demonstrate a mechanical bias or current/previously worked wthin a mechanical engineering/technician role
*In possession of a full, valid Driving Licence with no more than 3 points
*Able to demonstrate a full and varied knowledge of plant machinery
*Having a CSCS card would be an advantage
In return we will give you:
*An annual salary circa £24,000.00 based on experience
*Up to 25 days holiday excluding bank holidays
*An additional day's leave on your birthday
