Description
Due to continued and exciting growth within their business, our Buckingham based Automotive/manufacturing-based client are seeking to recruit a product testing Engineer into their team.

It is essential that you have:
*Experience and knowledge of current product testing practices
*Experience with automated testing including software testing tools.
*Strong communication skills

As a skilled Product Testing Engineer the role will involve the creation and management of software, firmware and hardware testing tools and systems.

This role will require a good understanding of the purpose of the company's products and services in order to fulfil the role requirements as defined. During your probation period a wealth of product training (including real-world demonstrations) will be available.
Strong communication skills will be required due to the nature of this role. This role relies on face to face interaction with relevant project members which occur frequently.

You will define test strategies and the governance of proposed solutions, provide and improve test management processes with the purpose to deliver test progress reporting to management and provide greater test control over the product development life cycle.

The role will include writing scripts and code, creating and using testing tools, and working directly with project members on product testing exercises. Other projects include performance testing, building and executing regression testing strategies, automation testing management and support user acceptance activities.

You will ensure products are tested, signed off and released in the most efficient and effective way possible, the Testing Engineer will:
*Manage and take responsibility for all aspects of product testing, sign off and release.
*Negotiate and agree actions and timescales for testing tasks with key project members.
*Create and utilise testing tools for product testing exercises.
*Write and execute product testing strategies.
*Create and delegate testing tasks to appropriate staff.
*Report back to management and project staff on testing progress.
*Providing guidance to the product testing team where required.
*Contribute to project planning and decision making.
*Monitor, evaluate and measure the progress of testing tasks.
*Create and maintain product test sheets.
*Create and deliver quarterly metric reports to evaluate product and project success.
*Maintain current and archived content relating to product testing.
