- Workshop Supervisor required for an industry leading enterprise, based in the heart of London.
Please note that this is a hands-on role. To be shortlisted for the position it is essential that you have a strong background and experience in IT/ Electrical Engineering or have at least 2 years' experience as an Auto Electrician, who has worked with 12-volt DC electrical systems.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of the workshop, delegating tasks to the Vehicle Installation Technicians, overseeing the quality of works carried out, performing inspections on kits and vehicles upon entry and prior to leaving the premises. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all works carried out. This information must then be relayed to the Manager, for them to keep track of stock and re-order materials.
Responsibilities:
*Planning and monitoring all work carried out
*Supervising the Vehicle InstallationTechnicians
*Undertaking installation and kit production jobs during busy periods
*Managing stock levels (e.g. materials and tooling) 10%
*Reporting information regarding workloads
*Participating in project reviews and offering suggestions to project managers and team leaders
*Record keeping, i.e. personnel information
*Quality control
*In-vehicle installations
*Maintaining safe working practises
Essential skills required:
*Must have at least 2 years' experience as an auto electrician /Mechanic
*Have at least 2 years' experience as a Supervisor / Manager
*Computer literacy (Basic level, data entry/ web browsing)
*Understanding of auto electrics or 12 volt DC electrical systems
*The ability to make critical decisions under pressure, whilst maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all staff members
Salary: £28,000- £32,500 Per Annum depending on experience
Working hours: 09:00- 17:00 Monday to Friday. 8:30am - 12:30pm every other Saturday
