- We have a new Health and Safety / Facilities Manager opportunity in Bicester!

The Role:
*Overall responsibility and compliance of the health and safety
*Develop, manage and implement Company H&S policies and procedures
*Conduct and document all risk assessments
*Implement practical and effective methods
*Conduct/organise relevant H&S training for staff
*Conduct and carryout internal and compliance audits of all sites
*Co-ordinate and manage first aid and fire safety representatives for all sites.
*Report R.I.D.D.O.R reportable accidents in a timely manner to HSE
*Conduct H&S inspections and prepare reports and documents as required.
*Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and implement changes
*Manage emergency procedures
*Conduct COSHH risk assessments.
*Manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances
*Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substance, noise, safer-guarding machinery and occupational diseases.
*Respond to and investigate any safety complaints and concerns raised by employees
*Ensure buildings and services meet H&S requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
*Ensure buildings, grounds and essential services are well maintained. Plan, manage and co-ordinate required repairs or renovations.
*Review utilities consumption and strive to minimise costs.
*Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences accordingly.
The candidate:
*NEBOSH Qualified
*COSHH Certification
*Legionella - Responsible Person Qualified
*Membership of IOSH
*Buildings maintenance experience
*Extensive and up to date knowledge of H&S legislation
*Experience of H&S management and auditing
*Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring to develop H&S knowledge
*Excellent written and spoken communication skills
*A methodical approach and attention to detail
*Excellent administration and IT skills
*A Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background is highly desirable
