Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes to cover both UK & US operations.
To us, an HR Manager is the go-to person for all employee-related issues. This means that your HR Manager duties will involve managing activities such as recruitment, employee relations and compliance. Other aspects of the role are to support the senior management team and undertake some HSE & facilities administration.


Main Duties and Responsibilities
*Develop and implement HR processes and policies across the UK and US sites
*Advise on specialist HR areas (eg salary benchmarking, absence and performance management, occupational health, conflict resolution)
*Dealing with sensitive issues and supporting management, providing guidance/advice.
*Support recruitment processes - job descriptions, liaising with recruitment agencies, preparing interview questions, application forms, obtaining 'right to work' etc. through to new employee inductions
*Keep abreast of UK and US employment laws. Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
*Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
*Identifying, arranging and tracking training
*Administering financial elements such as payroll, compensation and benefits, and pension schemes.
*Maintaining the occupational health programs for the UK & US
*GDPR compliance and administration
*Handling highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy way.
*Organise and manage the company's travel requirements, including booking flights and hotels etc
*Organise and manage some facility items such as: mobile accounts, photocopiers, franking machine & uniform requirements
*Manage the schedule of facilities / equipment service and maintenance. Check contractor's competency and correct signing in of visitors.
*Manage the administration of the company car fleet
*Assist in the company's Health & Safety administration including related audits, risk assessments and other HSE committee activities
*Tracking accident / incident trends and providing reports
*Assist in the administration of the company's Quality and Environmental management systems and Waste transfer records


Knowledge and Skills
*Needs to have a good practical understanding of HR systems and procedures.
*Experience of working with US employees and HR practices will be an advantage
*Competent with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
*Professional manner and confident personality
*3 years minimum experience in a similar HR role
*Performs tasks to a high standard
*Working effectively as part of a team to enable and support collaboration
*Adaptable and willing to take on new tasks
*Able to deal with conflicting priorities.
