HR Advisor (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £35,000 per annum
Location: Bicester
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: 12-month maternity cover

Equation Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor to undertake a 12-month maternity cover position based in Bicester. If you are looking for a new challenge with the opportunity to utilise and further develop your skillset, this may be the role for you!

Main Responsibilities:

*Work with Line Managers to ensure job descriptions are up to date to reflect role, competencies and person specification required.
*Liaise with recruitment agencies to provide temporary workers and to support external Recruiter when necessary.
*Conduct HR inductions and ensure plans are in line with company procedures and standards.
*Follow up on 3 and 6 month reviews for new starters with Line Managers to ensure actions and process are completed effectively.
*Follow-up and support of training & development needs arising from appraisals with Line Managers & Team Leaders and ensure training records are kept up to date.
*Evaluation of training and development activities and highlight issues to HR Manager and Line Managers.
*Manage Driver Safety Training and ensure it is up to date and records are maintained.
*Maintenance of Employee Handbook, and Occupational Health Manual.
*Ensure accuracy of payroll, pensions, and other benefits by checking monthly in preparation for timely sign-off.
*Back-up support for all payroll activities.
*Monitor absence and analyse reports for trends.
*Support line managers in the management of employee relations matters including performance, capability, absence, disciplinary and grievance in line with company procedures and legal obligations. Attend meetings and ensure they are followed up within agreed timescales.
*Provide advice and support to employees on HR matters and queries.
*Mitigate risk to the company through employee relations issues by acting to prevent issues from arising and/or minimising impact on others and the business.
*Conduct Exit Interviews and provide feedback to Line Managers and HR Manager.
*Monitor and evaluate induction and appraisal systems
*Review all HR processes and practices and make recommendations for improvement
*Produce and review HR Reports (Absence, Turnover & Recruitment) and provide analysis and recommendations.
*Support HR Administrator whenever necessary and provide cover during holidays, etc.
*Undertake project work as and when required

Requirements:

*At least 2 years' experience working as a HR Officer supporting Line Managers.
*People management experience.
*Computer literate - Knowledge of MS Office.
*Part/Fully CIPD Qualified (Minimum level 3)
