Production Team Leader- Upper Heyford, Bicester
Salary: £30,000- £38,000 Dependant on experience.
Working hours: 08:00 - 16:15 Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 15:00 on FridaysCompany benefits:

Essential criteria:- Experience of working in an electrical assembly environment, making/assembling electrical products. (Ideally small scale, low volume, fast paced high-tech environment).
- Computer literate; proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and more specifically MRP systems would be ideal.
- Experienced in the use of small hand-held tools, specifically for manufacturing electrical products, i.e., screw drivers, hex keys, small wrenches, snips, soldering iron etc.
- Experience leading and motivating a team.
Responsibilities:
* Recording data and keeping track of progress within the department
* Setting objectives and creating plans for multiple projects within a fast paced, changeable environment.
* Planning detailed schedules for production. i.e., sub-assemblies, base model builds, calibration, soak, and rework.
* Following company procedures and encouraging others to do so.
* Identify and develop improvements by creating new processes and procedures.
* Mentoring and delegating the team, always leading by example.
* Taking accountability for the team's performance.
* Assembly of small mechanical enclosures, containing framework and electrical PCBs.
* Produce monthly metrics for the Production Cell
* Ensure production deadlines are met and the resources are sufficiently used to achieve them.
* Working alongside the process engineering team, to maximise the use of equipment and individuals within the team.
* Manufacture products to a high standard, in accordance with relevant work instructions. Cables, components and sub-assemblies, in house.
* Assisting the department manager during the salary review process.
* Assessing individuals' performance, reviewing and supporting your team by recognising achievements.
* Support the department manager in the development, communication and implementation of the company's strategic plans
* Track work through the Production Cell, prioritising and assigning tasks to the appropriate team members, to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner, whilst keeping tracking information and systems up to date.
* Produce monthly metrics for the Production Cell.
