Maintenance Technician- Permanent contract- Bicester

Maintenance Technician required on a full-time, permanent basis in Bicester.

Working days/Hours: 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday. (Occasional weekends if required)

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Essential criteria required:

• Mechanical/ electrical repair experience of some description
• Some knowledge or experience of food hygiene regulations
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Reducing downtime by carrying out preventative maintenance on all equipment, as well as keeping an up-to-date record of any completed works.
• Keeping an up-to-date record of any parts used, and reorder as necessary
• Tending to equipment breakdowns
• Liaise with external contractors, and sign off any paperwork that's required
• Use of technical manuals
• Diagnosing faults
• Replacing parts
• Testing equipment
• Allergen awareness with regards to raw and cooked food
• Being aware of and assisting with the control of the maintenance budget
• Previous experience within a food production environment is essential, extra training will be given
• Attending informal meetings to update the line managers and your team
• Ensure that all applicable legislations and standards (H&S, Food Hygiene regulations, BRC, SALSA, etc) are adhered to and that any violations are reported to the business
• Carrying out Specific projects and activities, as directed by your line manager
