Transport Manager- Night shift

Working hours: 22:00- 06:00 Sunday to Thursday

Annual salary: £35,000- £38,000 dependant on experience

Transport Manager responsibilities

• Responsible for the management of an Administration team and up to 100 Drivers and Driver's Mates
• Overseeing the transportation of goods across northern and southern regions of the UK
• Ensure all transport costs are in line with the budget
• Keeping legal records accurate and up to date
• Overseeing site compliance
• Managing agency drivers via the Convey system
• Ensuring the timely despatch of route vehicles
• Managing route changes in the most cost effective and efficient way for the business
• Monitoring and completing KPI's
• Use of management reporting tools
• Offering support and developing members of staff through training/ upskilling

Criteria

• 4+ years' experience within a transport/ logistics role
• CPC (Desirable)
• Previous experience within a fast-paced distribution company/ transport role
• Tachograph and compliance knowledge
• Excellent computer literacy
• Proven leadership skills
• Cost and service focussed
