The Role: Electrical Design Engineer

Working as part of a busy drawing office team, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing projects to life. From creating detailed schematics to supporting production and testing, your work will directly impact the success of cutting-edge installations.

Your Key Responsibilities as an Electrical Design Engineer;

  • Create electrical layouts and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications
  • Support electrical panel production and provide hands-on troubleshooting
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure all solutions meet required standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver on customer expectations

What they are looking for in the Electrical Design Engineer,

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong background in electrical control panel design
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations for sizing cables and equipment
  • Team player with excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and programming software is an advantage (but not essential)
