The successful Mortgage Administrator will play a key role in supporting mortgage advisers, managing the end-to-end mortgage process, and ensuring clients enjoy a smooth, professional journey from application to completion.
Key Responsibilities of the Mortgage Administrator
- Managing mortgage applications from submission to completion with accuracy and efficiency.
- Liaising with clients to gather essential documents and provide regular updates.
- Communicating with mortgage lenders, solicitors, and third parties to meet deadlines.
- Maintaining accurate and compliant client records and case files.
- Supporting mortgage advisers with administration and case progression.
- Proactively chasing outstanding information to keep cases moving.
- Handling inbound and outbound calls/emails to provide outstanding customer service.
Skills & Experience of the Mortgage Administrator;
- Previous experience as a Mortgage Administrator, Mortgage Case Manager, or within financial services (desirable but not essential).
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple mortgage cases in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Understanding of FCA regulations and compliance (an advantage).
- Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
