HGV Driver Operative
Salary: Starting from £32,877 per annum
Equation Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a respected environmental services company delivering essential highway and infrastructure maintenance across North Somerset.
Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for a hands-on role that keeps the local area safe, clean, and moving? This position offers variety, teamwork, and the opportunity to develop your driving and operational skills with a business that invests in its people.
The Role
As part of the highways team, you’ll work alongside another driver to deliver the gully cleansing programme and reactive drainage support across the region. Your duties will include:
- Operating and driving specialist gully cleansing vehicles.
- Managing drainage maintenance, unblocking gullies and pipes using high-pressure jetting equipment.
- Supporting road preparation and cleansing prior to resurfacing works.
- Ensuring safety for road users and the public at all times.
- Completing accurate work records and following company safety procedures.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a reliable, safety-focused individual who enjoys outdoor work and teamwork.
Essential:
- Full UK Category C driving licence.
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Previous experience operating similar vehicles or working in a highways or drainage environment.
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures and work effectively within a team.
