Late Shift £23-£25 per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join their team on the late shift.
If you're confident setting and operating 3- and 5-axis CNC machining centres, enjoy working in a fast-paced precision engineering and prototype environment, and take pride in producing work to exacting standards, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
You'll be working with a variety of materials and challenging components, using your technical knowledge, attention to detail and problem-solving skills to deliver quality work efficiently and safely.
The Role
As a CNC Milling Setter/Operator, you'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machinery, ensuring components are produced accurately, efficiently and to specification.
You'll be expected to:
- Set and operate a range of 3- and 5-axis CNC machining centres
- Work confidently with Heidenhain, Hurco or Mazatrol controls
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Carry out accurate in-process dimensional and visual inspections
- Use appropriate precision measurement equipment to maintain quality standards
- Machine a wide range of metals and plastics
- Work effectively to production deadlines without compromising quality
- Monitor and, when required, mind multiple machines
- Identify and resolve machining or quality issues using strong problem-solving skills
- Communicate clearly with operators and engineers, providing concise and useful feedback
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices
What they're Looking For
they're looking for someone who already has solid experience in CNC milling and can hit the ground running.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a CNC Milling Setter/Operator
- Experience working with 3- and 5-axis machining centres
- Knowledge of Heidenhain, Hurco or Mazatrol controls
- Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience using precision inspection and measurement equipment
- Experience machining different metals and plastics
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
- A practical, methodical approach to problem solving
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers and colleagues
- The ability to work efficiently and consistently to deadlines
- A strong commitment to health, safety and quality
The Shift
Monday – Thursday: 14:00 – 22:00
Friday: 13:00 – 20:00This is an opportunity to join a precision engineering environment where skill, accuracy and experience matter.
