- Our client are looking for an experienced and qualified Head Chef to become the face and name of an impressive and exciting new restaurant, opening in a beautifully rural Cotswold setting in April 2018.
The Head Chef will help determine and lead both the focus and style of the restaurant and will be key to all recruitment and developing a brand associated with high-quality dining.
The kitchen will oversee a restaurant accommodating up to 170 covers as well as a bar with a scaled down offering to a more causal diner.
This is a chance for someone to develop their own name and an exciting opportunity to mould a reputation for a newly built property.
They want someone that is able to deliver the classics, but to add their own personal twist and flair.
Requirements:
*Proven experience as head chef or several years as a number two.
*Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
*Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
*Outstanding communication and leadership skills
*Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes
*Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
*Credentials in health and safety training
*Degree in Culinary science or related certificate
The role is permanent and full time - Weekend work will be part of this role as will some late hours.
The restaurant will be open 7 days a week so a suitable person must be employed to cover the absence of the Head Chef on some days.
Due to the location which is rural - you will need to have a driving licence and your own vehicle.
