- Description
- Our client, based on the outskirts of Bicester are looking for a Term Time Domestic Assistant to join their school. This position is due to start on 27th August (1 week training) prior to the start of the school term.
Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 6am - 12 noon and Saturday 6am - 10am, Term Time (approx. 34 weeks per year).
Job specification
To assist the housekeeper to ensure domestic cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard
*Report directly to the Housekeeper assisting in a range of domestic duties
*Willing to work extra events or the occasional weekends
*To help cover absent domestic staff when required
*To assist in half term deep cleaning
*To clean downstairs daily to a high standard including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, high level cleaning, cleaning toilets and general cleaning tasks
*Keeping your areas clean, tidy and well presented
*To comply with and act in accordance with all school fire regulations and to adhere to the school's fire policy
*To act in accordance with all Health & Safety and Hygiene regulations and to adhere to the School's Health & Safety policy
*To behave in a friendly and hospitable manner to all school staff, parents and children
*To attend domestic staff meetings when requested
*To carry out training as required
*To act in accordance with the child protection regulations and adhere to the schools safeguarding policy
*To be aware of any allergies the children may have and any special requirements that may be needed
ESSENTIAL
*A flair and enthusiasm, we are looking for someone who is pro-active and energetic
*Be able to work on your own
*Ability to prioritise and manage workload
*Previous experience in cleaning
*Good interpersonal skills with kitchen staff, teaching staff, parents, boys and school management
*A positive approach to working
*Position dependant on a clear DBS check (provided)
