Our client, an outside Catering Company, based in Brackley are seeking a Head Chef to join their reputable, expanding team.
The company has an excellent reputation for food and service and prides themselves on serving contemporary, high quality dishes to clients.
You will have experience working in a similar role with a track record of producing the finest dishes.
It will be your responsibility to use only the freshest ingredients to produce dishes, write menus in line with market trends, order new stock, maintain efficient stock levels and negotiate with suppliers to adhere to cost targets.
As a Head Chef, you'll need to be highly organised to meet tight deadlines. You should also be a confident communicator and a successful negotiator.
Required skills:
-NVQ qualifications in food preparations and cooking or equivalent
-Knowledge of Food Safety, COSHH & HACCP
-Strong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
-Accurate keyboard skills
-Be 'hands on' in all aspects of event operations e.g. loading vans
Normal hours of work are 8am-5pm Tuesday to Saturday however, flexibility is required due to the nature of the business. You will also be required to drive company vans to/from events, as such, you will hold a clean driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
