- Description
- I am looking for a packing Supervisor to join a very reputable, specialist organisation within Bicester who have experienced very rapid growth in recent years.
The company are specialists in engine modifications, for all types of machinery, excluding motor vehicles.
Working alongside the Warehouse & Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for efficiency levels of the daily operations of the packing bay and supervising 5 members of staff.
*Accurate checking of goods which are present on despatch notes
*Check all shipments are signed for by carrier driver or postal worker
*Ensure accuracy of manifest, secure packing and serviceable condition of goods
*Checking the accurate description of packages
*Maintaining records of all despatched shipments by carrier (manifests and consignment notes) and post (postal book)
*Close computer systems used for the production of carrier's shipment labels, consignments notes and manifests
*Maintain material supplies for the packing and despatch bays
*Produce monthly lists for the Warehouse Manager, listing replenishment requirements
*Supervise, monitor and control the picking and despatch of completed workshop products
*Assist the Warehouse Manager with day to day duties
*To cover for other members of staff when required
*Efficient and effective use of resources as prioritised
*To keep the warehouse packing area clean and tidy
Previous experience working with spare parts within a packing and despatch environment would be beneficial, however, this is not essential.
the role offers 40 hours per week. Working hours are 8:15am - 5pm Monday to Friday with a 45-minute lunch break.
