- Description
- Due to continued and exciting expansion within their business, our manufacturing client based in Poole are now seeking to recruit another Maintenance Mechanical Technician on the day shift to join their business.
It is essential that you have excellent fault-finding ability and have experience working with complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems as a maintenance technician/mechanical fitter/Maintenance Engineer.
The salary for this role is £30,446 per annum plus a bonus of approx. £2,400. Taking your base to £32,846. Additionally, there are good levels of overtime paid at time and a half.
The working hours will be week 1 Mon-Fri 6am-2pm and week 2 Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm, for a highly successful operation operating a continuous process production facility.
Essentially, you will be a skilled maintenance technician/mechanical fitter who has served a formal recognised apprenticeship related to the trade or have obtained a HNC within a relevant subject.
You will need a genuine multi-skilled approach together with the ability to work independently and as part of a skilled maintenance team is essential.
Core abilities to include - pro-active maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification, all within time sensitive constraints.
Practical experience in fault finding and the ability to repair complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential.
Ability to fault find from drawings or PLC systems relating to hydraulic and pneumatic circuits would be an advantage, as would training and experience in basic electrical skills.
Knowledge of modern maintenance philosophy (TPM/PPM/RCM) and experience of working within a machine shop/CNC environment would be advantageous.
